Google Play announces Indias best apps, games, movies, books and more in 2018

Another year will soon come to a close and same as last year, Google Play has announced its yearly list of top apps, games, movies, books and more. Generally, winners across various categories like apps, games, movies, TV, books, audiobooks, and songs are listed on the Google Play Store. However, a new “Fan Favorite” category has also been added this time where Google is crowning the fan favourite game and app of 2018. This time, PUBG MOBILE and Google Pay have been selected as the first-ever Fan Favorite game and app in India respectively.  Best App of 2018: Drops: Learn 31 new languages Google has selected ‘Drops: Learn 31 new languages’ as the best app of 2018. One can learn “the essential words” from many languages like Korean, Japanese, Chinese, French, German, Arabic, Hindi and many more using the app. The app uses illustrations and fast-paced micro-games to help users quickly learn new languages, and one is said to devote only 5 minutes a day on the app to pick up the essential words used in a language. Best Game of 2018: PUBG MOBILE It is no surprise that PUBG Mobile has taken the top position on Play Store’s best game of 2018. The mobile version of the Battle Royale title has more than 20 million daily active users and is now a major contributor to the growing popularity of smartphone gaming. 100 players are dropped on a remote island, where only one survives to be the winner and claim the chicken dinner. Players dropped in the battlefield locate and scavenge their own weapons, vehicles and supplies while eliminating every other player they come across.
