Honor Note 10 with Huaweis next-gen Kirin 980 processor could launch on August 30 at IFA

In May this year, Honor unveiled the Honor 10 smartphone in India with AI dual cameras and a two-tone glass design. The phone was priced at Rs 32,999 at launch and Honor claims it sold 3 million units of the phone globally in two months. The Chinese conglomerate later launched a more powerful version, the Honor 10 GT, in China. It seems that the company now looks to further expand the Honor 10 lineup and may unveil the Honor Note 10 on August 30 at technology show IFA in Berlin. According to a report, Honor has started sending out inivites for the IFA event. The invite reads - “Honor invites you to a new product launch”. The caption for the product is ‘Crazy Fast, Crazy Smart’ and a moving bullet is shown in the image. This may imply that the company is launching a phone with a fast processor, possibly the Kirin 980. The phone could also be seen featuring AI-capabilities given Huawei's growing focus on providing smart features in its phones.  The Honor Note 10 recently popped up on Geekbench sporting the codename - HUAWEI RVL-AL09. It is expected to run on the company’s next-generation Kirin 980 SoC, which was recently confirmed to launch at IFA by He Gang, the Head of Huawei Technologies’ Smartphone Division. As per the geekbench listing, the phone will run on 6GB RAM and will have the same memory and processor combination as the Huawei P20 Pro. However, we now doubt that the listing was real since the Kirin 980's launch is expected to coincide with that of the phone. A separate report even claimed that Honor could launch a Rolls Royce Edition of the Honor Note 10 smartphone. SlashLeak posted an image of the device showing the panel which has a vertically stacked dual camera setup in the center, accompanied by the fingerprint sensor. According to GizmoChina, the Honor Note 10 Rolls Royce Edition could be priced at Yuan 9998 (Rs 1,02,730 approx) and is said to come in a Mirror Silver colour variant. We have to wait till August 30 to know about the device and what it has to offer.
