Indian Express reports that the smartphone maker could announce its upcoming Realme 3 smartphone in Q1 2019. There is no information on the device’s specifications or its pricing but Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has said that the company is working on making its upcoming handset different from the Realme 2. Sheth also said that the company is working on a handset with a 48MP sensor, however, it’s not known whether the camera setup will be implemented on the Realme 3 or some other phone. The executive also said that Realme does not see any benefit to launch a phone with a triple camera setup or a “punch-hole” screen. The company is also said to open its exclusive experience store in India by Q2 2019 to improve its offline presence in the country. This comes after the government announced some changes to the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) policy for online retailers with directive that states that online retailers like Amazon and Flipkart cannot sell devices exclusively on their platforms. Realme is said to be currently working on “structure and principles” for its first experience store and its location is yet to be decided. Sheth said his business will continue, “…but we are still waiting for the clarity on the policy”. Realme recently partnered with Reliance Digital to sell its smartphones via more than 1300 Reliance Digital and My Jio stores in 130 cities. Realme is said to add 20,000 outlets in 150 Indian cities this year. Realme is also speculated to announce an entry-level Realme A1 smartphone in the first quarter of this year. Rumoured to be priced around Rs 6000, the smartphone could be launched running on the MediaTek Helio P60 or a Snapdragon 600-series chipset. It is also speculated to feature a dual-camera setup at the back and an AI-powered selfie camera. In terms of software, the handset might run on Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2 out-of-the-box.  Related Reads: The 4GB RAM version of the Realme U1 on sale The Realme U1
