BSNL STV 35 recharge refreshed to offer more data, Rs 53 and Rs 395 prepaid data vouchers revised: Report
Seems like BSNL is stepping up its game to stay relevant in the ever competitive telecom sector. The company reportedly revised one of its Special Tariff Voucher (STV) so that its customers can avail more data. Additionally, Telecom Talk reports that it has also refreshed its Rs 53 and Rs 395 prepaid data vouchers to offer more data and other benefits.
As per the report, BSNL's Rs 35 STV now comes bundled with 5GB of data and a validity of 5 days. This is a massive jump since the same recharge is said to previously credit mere 200MB of data for the same time period.
As for the other two prepaid data vouchers, BSNL is apparently increasing the bundled data offering by a considerable degree. The report claims that with Rs 53 data voucher, one will now receive 8GB data for 14 days instead of just 250MB for 21 days. While this plan’s validity has been reduced, there is now considerably more data one gets with the refreshed voucher. Next up is the Rs 395 prepaid data voucher from which the telco has reportedly removed call limits. One will now get unlimited calling and national roaming with the voucher but it is said to be not valid for BSNL customers in Mumbai and Delhi circles. Additionally, one will get to use 2GB data per day with the recharge where post exhaustion of data, the speed will be capped at 80kbps.
BSNL has been steadily reworking its strategy in the country to get ahead of the competition. It recently introduced two special plans during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), which are priced at Rs 199 (Rs 201 for North) and Rs 499. The two plans come with unlimited voice calling for both local and STD calls in the local service area. For the Mumbai and Delhi circle, unlimited voice calling is also valid on roaming since the company doesn’t operate there. This recharge is said to offer 1GB daily data and up to 100 SMS messages. The Rs 199 has a 28-day validity, while the Rs 499 plan is valid for 90 days.
