Xiaomi Mi A2 leaked renders confirm stock Android, three colour variants
We already know that Xiaomi is prepping for the launch of a new smartphone in Madrid, Spain on July 24. The company has already confirmed that the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite will be unveiled at the event. The Mi A2 is expected to be the second Xiaomi device running on stock Android but the first smartphone was, of course, the Xiaomi Mi A1, which was launched in India in September last year. Now, leaked renders from MySmartPrice, via Twitter user @IshanAgarwal24, reaffirm what was already speculated about the Xiaomi Mi A2’s hardware. It could be based on the Xiaomi Mi 6X, a smartphone that was launched in China earlier this year with MIUI. More importantly, the renders confirm the software on the smartphone by showing a preview of the home screen: it’s stock Android 8.1 Oreo right out of the box without a grain of doubt. They also suggest that the smartphone will be available in at least three colours upon launch; black, gold, and red. The upcoming Mi A2 is expected to come with the same hardware as the Mi 6X. If there are no changes, then the 2.5D screen on the device will come equipped with a 5.99-inch Full HD+ IPS panel with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a pixel density of 403 PPI. It’s powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with an Adreno 512 GPU. It might be launched in the following RAM and storage options, 4GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. Approximate prices for these variants, as leaked by a Polish website, will be Rs 24,000, Rs 26,000, and Rs 29,510 respectively. The device could be backed by a 3,010 mAh unit, with Quick Charge 3.0 support. Along with the Mi A2, Xiaomi is also expected to launch the Mi A2 Lite in Spain this July. The Mi A2 Lite will be a toned-down version of the Mi A2. It is expected to feature a Snapdragon 625 chipset, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. It might feature a 5.84-inch display with a 1080 x 2280p resolution and have a notch on the top. Surprisingly, the battery on the Mi A2 Lite is said to be a larger 4,000 mAh unit.
