Vivo Y17 with 5000mAh battery, AI triple camera launched for Rs 17,990 in India

Expanding its Y-Series phones, Vivo has launched Vivo Y17 for Rs 17,990 in India. The phone houses a 5000mAh battery with fast charging tech and an AI-powered triple camera setup on the back. The device has launched in only one variant, and will be available in Mineral Blue and Mystic Purple colours at various offline stores. The phone comes with an ultra game mode which is claimed to deliver smooth gaming experience.

Vivo Y17 specifications:

The Vivo Y17 features a 6.35-inch Halo FullView Display with an aspect ratio of 19.3:9, and a screen-to-body ratio of 89 percent. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor, built on the TSMC 12nm FinFET process with clock speeds of up to 2.3GHz. The SoC is complemented by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. As mentioned, there is an ultra game mode which has two features: Competition Mode, which allocates system resources that prioritize your game’s performance, and Dual-Turbo, which reduces frame-drop to give a smoother gaming experience. The phone runs company’s Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9.0.

When it comes to the camera, the phone comes with an AI-powered triple camera setup, which includes a 13MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle camera, and 2MP depth sensor. The wide-angle camera has a 120-degree field of view, however, it actually captures 108 degrees after accounting for distortion. On the front is a 20MP sensor with AI Face Beauty feature that is said to enhance the photo with in-built customised solutions. The phone houses a 5,000mAh battery with 18W Dual Engine Fast Charging support, and nine charging protection technologies.
